In our heads we define what beauty looks like to us. When we don’t fit under our own definition, that creates our own self destruction of ourselves and slowly our confidence declines. As kids we don’t really know what pretty or ugly is and as we get older the influences we see are consuming us. We believe many things, and to see that girls every where try hard to look “good”-what exactly would that mean? Do we want to look “good” so we can conform with the rest of the people who we think is “pretty” or “hot” or do we want to look “good” so we can feel like we have accomplished something.

Living a healthy lifestyle doesn’t mean we have to be skinny but it doesn’t mean that we have to be fat either. In my opinion to live healthy includes a good diet and a minimum of 30 min of exercise but it shouldn’t require you to think that you look like a fat person and that means you’re ugly. How we perceive things is just so heartbreaking that it takes something so little to convince you that what you see in the mirror isn’t pretty and what you see in others is what you think society’s perception of beauty.

I am who I am. I am not perfect and neither is anyone else. A girl is more beautiful for who she is rather than what she looks like.
